Generator Hostel, Copenhagen

The location is very good, and the hostel is very friendly. It has daily activities/events, which is great for those traveling alone and wanting to socialize.

As a suggestion, they could put curtains on the beds to help with the lack of privacy in rooms with many beds.

The location was excellent, surrounded by bars and places to eat. A 5min walk to the nearest metro and Nyhaven

The facilities were very sparse, we stayed in the deluxe double so not sure about the other rooms but this was definitely lacking. There was one unit of shampoo and shower gel that ran out after our first day, no kettle or even glasses to have a drink of tap water on a morning and the “pillows” were essentially square cushions that were really uncomfortable, it was pretty much like laying flat on the bed. The hotel has ground rules and one of them is no external food or drink allowed in as they serve their own which kinda forces you into spending money with them as there wasn’t anything in the room either.

The Generator was in a great location with a quick easy walk to everywhere in central Copenhagen. It was a really cool hostel with a huge communal area where many people where able to gather and hang out. It has a fantastic atmosphere which makes it easier for travellers to meet new people if they wish. I will defintely come back if I have the chance.

They don't have curtains on the beds. As this hostel was clean, the beds were relatively enclosed and the people were friendly, I didn't mind so much this time but just a heads up if you prefer a bit of privacy.

My pad lock didn't fit the locker

Top location in the city center. 5 minutes walk from the Nyhavn. There are groceries, bars and restaurants nearby. Room is ok for it's price, the bed was comfy.

The light in the bathroom was not possible to switch off manually (it switches off automatically after some time, which makes problems at night). It was a bit hot in the room (the last floor and the sun was shining), so we have to open the windows (it was a bit loud outside).

Location is perfect. Room is good just not using the place to put the luggage is uncomfortable as it can be complicated to pull out. Breakfast not applicable as I did not take it.

The place to lock the luggage in the room is not very practical. You need to make a lot of effort to pull it out and it can be noisy. Also the fact there is no kitchen.

The location was great, the bed are comfy for the girls dorm. I love it

Bad circulation of air, bad smell between the rooms and on the bar at first floor, the kitchen smells terrible and it spreads out this smell everywhere BCS there is few air circulation, also get rid of this useless moquette because it doesn't help with smell

I rebooked a new room almost at the last minute, the hotel staff was really supportive and helped me a lot. My new room was clean and warm :)

The location is very convenient, there is a supermarket right across the street and everything is in about a five minute walk. The hostel has a nice vibe and the bar/restaurant is affordable.

Room was very small. If you bring two suitcases, you’ll have very little space to move. But the size of the room is already mentioned in the details so wasn’t a surprise.

The Hotel had a very good location. At the center of Copenhagen and at walking distance from the major attractions in the city. Has a nice bar at the reception level with different animations every day.

The rooms floors were smelly, the room was also very small and the bed not too comfortable. The TV was not working in our room for the entirety of our trip and there was no maintenance to repair it. (They gave us free drinks however to make up for it.

The location, friendly and helpful staff, the tidyness of the room. Would return here as it was good for the price you pay in this super expensive city.

Room was a bit small, but managable; there was noise coming from downstairs bar until 1am, it wasn't huge deal for us as we went to sleep aroumd that time and were super tired, but it was a bit annoying still. Definitelly something to keep in mind.

Amazing location and was a pretty decent price. Staff very friendly and helpful when my luggage was lost by the airline.

pillows were so small and unsupportive, we both woke up with stiff necks. Bathroom also extremely small making it hard to use.

Allways one guy who was snoring. In the middle of the night i woke up and meant there is a grizzley bear in the room who want eat me. The guy in the rezeption safe my sleep with spending me ear plugs, but thats hostellive can happen😅

We had a 6-beds room and we got upgrades for a 8-beds room!!! It was very nice, the location is very good! And there is a cool bar on the first floor with great atmosfeer and music!

Very good location in the city center, close to all important places to visit. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. Nice staff. You can play billiards and shuffleboard.

In the room there is no wardrobe for clothes, no simple dishes, like mugs or glasses, plates and cutlery, no electric kettle. In the bathroom there is no shower cabin, only a curtain which makes a lake on the floor. Breakfasts could be more varied, it would be nice to have warm dishes like scrambled eggs or sausages.

Great location for a very good price. Easy to get to from the airport using the underground. A good base to walk around the city and close to excellent restaurants and bars.
