Wonderful historic building, lovely view of the coast and ocean from our room. Fabulous sunset.

Really nothing. The staff were friendly and helpful and the service was great.

Location overlooking Ocean was fantastic. They went above and beyond; my wife forgot some medicine in the refrigerator; Lewis got it to us at the airport in time for our Flight!! Walking Distance to "Central Restaurant" - which was chosen best restaurant int he world in 2023! It was amazing!

For my wife the beds were a little stiff; however fine for me. Very clean; but could use some touch-up paint here and there.

They should a better dust cleaning

We stayed in the apartment/Sirena. It was nice to have the extra space and powder room. There is a full bath en suite. The bedroom & full bath are on the same level, otherwise the rest of the apartment has steps into the different levels/rooms. We did not cook food but enjoyed making tea & having a refrigerator. Great views & quiet - we slept with bedroom window open. Very, very good location for walking to great restaurants, the beach, shops.

Maybe some diversity of breakfast options.

Victor Delfins' House is amazing, nice vibe, views, location, excellent staff are helpful with great recommendations for restaurants nearby.

Had a front-view room with a small balcony, excellent view, road noise late at night which we are not used to ( not the property's fault)

The location was excellent and the hotel was a beautiful old building with lots of interesting art. The owner was helpful and the breakfast was good.

The room overlooking the sea was noisy due to the cars beeping their horns in the night

Love this place . Location, views, staff, breakfast, all the incredible artwork . Luiz was extremely helpful. I would definitely stay again. Close to calm Sandy beach for swimming or paddle boarding or surfing and right in the heart of Barranco

It's an old building with lots of character so don't expect the plumbing to work like a modern 5 star hotel

This is the home of a famous Peruvian artist, Victor Delfin, who has converted rooms for hotel guest stays. It’s charming, comfortable and homey. The staff are friendly and the location in Barranco is excellent.

Only enough hot water for one shower when we arrived at midnight (we'd just done 4 day Inca trail so a shower was feeling vital!). Lovely young man greeted us on arrival and staff were on the whole really helpful but the breakfast staff on first morning were quite abrupt and off-hand (much warmer on 2nd day).....personally I don't mind this, just adds to the character of the hotel and everyone doesn't have to be sweetness and light all the time - only mention as I think some might feel put off by this.

Quirky, different and a fascinating place to stay. Ideal for people wanting to experience something a bit different.

Only negative was the bed was a bit small. Could easily have fitted a king size bed.

Beautiful hotel and lovely room with a spectacular sea view. Excellent breakfast. Fantastic location. Superb art. Had a tour of the studio and met the famous artist who was charming and very lovely. Saw amazing paintings and sculpting. Would come back for sure.

The views are some of the best in Lima Peru. You can see the whole Lima coast overlooking the beaches and it's only a 5 to 10 minute down hill walk if you want to go to the beach, and 15 Soles (Pen) to taxi back to the hotel or an uphill walk of 15 to 20 minutes. You are 1 minute from restaurants with great food and entertainment. This is a very safe area for walking and cheap taxis for longer trips. We have stayed here twice and will definitely be return customers. Everyone there was very friendly and Luis (front desk), Olga (house keeping) were great staff. Breakfast was included and I highly recommend doing the tour and learn the history of this remarkable family owned mansion/hotel. Started by Víctor Delfín who is one of the leading sculptors and painters in Peru, he is 97 and we got to meet this very talented artist. His children have continued his dream. If you're like me and tired of Hotel chain vacations try this hotel with a personal touch and family atmosphere you can't go wrong!

I can't think of anything I didn't like, it was all perfect. BUT: If I absolutely had to complain about anything it would be the payment system through booking, for some reason you can't pay through booking. The hotel has to send you a link or you can reach out to them directly and ask if you can pay at the hotel, which is what I did and they were very accommodating. I think the link is for your safety as well as theirs because in South America they do have a lot of scammers.

What an original home & studio of the famed Peruvian artist Delfin. The bed & bathroom was the best I had in my month in Peru & beat other 4 star corporate hotel hands down. Great location in Barranca & spectacular ocean views. Helpful staff & truly original & masterful art work displayed throughout. It was a privilege to stay there & would not hesitate to stay again if in Peru 🇵🇪

Wonderful views of the whole coast in both directions. Art throughout the property from Victor Delfin. Very attentive staff, adapting to our needs. Freshly baked bread in the mornings with very good scrambled eggs. The sound of the sea.

In October it was quite cold but we had a heater in our room that we needed. It is common in Peru to have single glazed windows so it was cold and noisy (there is big road next to the sea) - nothing good earplugs can’t fix though.

Amazing stay at Second Home Peru in Barranco — full of street art, bars, and restaurants, and the area felt very safe. The hotel feels like an art gallery with a stunning sea view, tasty breakfast, and friendly hosts. Everything, including the airport transfer, was perfect.

We couldn’t find a single downside!

This place was beautiful-my only regret is we did not have more time to spend enjoying it. The artwork is fantastic.

There is art and views of the sea

My room lacked insulation. There was an electric heater but it was limited to a small area. Other rooms didn’t have this issue.

The breakfast was everything we needed: eggs, coffee, fruit. Perfect. Staff was great, arranging transportation for us. The inn is at the end of a lovely street in the Barranco section (Isolina restaurant on corner excellent). We preferred it to the big hotels of Miraflores. Barranco was fun to explore. We loved Mr Delfin’s art and sculptures throughout, & were so thrilled to see his studio and to meet him. The room we selected was on the bluff with the balcony overlooking the Pacific. It was beautiful. Staying at the inn ended up being a highlight of our fabulous Peru trip.

Not a negative, but please be careful on the grounds and choose your room carefully if mobility impaired. Also, though the bathroom had a door, it wasn’t totally walled in. I did trip on raised tile entering the bathroom at night and should have turned the light on since this was unfamiliar surroundings. Still, these are “tips” not negatives.

Second Hime has a very special atmosphere (enhanced by Victor Delfin's artwork and sculptures) and the staff are all incredibly helpful. The breakfast was simple but good (including the coffee!). The location is very handy for exploring the Barranco area.

Being an English man and woman abroad we missed a kettle in our room although we could drop into the kitchen fir hot water and tea etc. The other complaint was that the shower was luke warm rather than hot and the bath plug didn't work so it was shower only (not a great hardship).

This is an amazing place! Perfectly located near everything in Barranco, everything is walkable from there (Uber works very well too), and they'll happily arrange a ride for you as needed to and from the airport. We got to meet the artist Victor Delfin and see all his work which decorates the whole place, we even bought a small piece to take home with us! The house is beautiful, and we had the good fortune to snag the full-size apartment that is available in addition to the individual rooms. Our stay was wonderful!

The only issue I had was how slippery the back area's flagstones were when wet as was usually the case first thing in the morning (at least during the winter in early September when we were there), and I slipped and fell and bruised the right side of my body and especially my ankle which is still healing, so be careful in the mornings! However, this seems to be the case with Lima in general, the sidewalks are very slippery when wet, all over, so I don't blame Second Home!

This is a lovely quirky artsy property that was serene and peaceful. Building has a lot of character and great views. Beds were comfortable and the location is a winner, Barranco is a great place to stay in Lima. Breakfast was also nice (think eggs and bacon). Pleased I choose it to start my stay in Peru. My only complaint was that I only saw one of the cats!

It's a little chilly in the main areas. but that is standard for Lima and it is winter. My bedroom was a good temperature and the shower was hot.

Location and artistic ambiance are great. Easy walking to great food. Staff has good advice for where to go.

Needs just a bit of cosmetic maintenance.

We loved that this was the home of Victor Delfin, who I confess we had not heard of before. But I was overcome with joy to be able to get to know his work. Our room was special to be able to see the ocean from our bed and up a few steps from the bathroom. Loved the design of our room that allowed this view! We spent a lot of time staring at all the activities below The staff was friendly and helpful. Luis was on hand almost. Every time we had a question. He helped us choose our route for a walk and advised us on where to eat. In sum we felt completely at home We couldn’t have asked for a better experience

This apartment was amazing. Unique and beautiful building, wonderfully attentive and helpful staff, incredible view, comfy beds, and delicious breakfast. Location cannot be best with great restaurants, bars, art galleries, and ocean strolls. One of my favorite stays ever.

Absolutely beautiful. A gorgeous mansion overlooking the ocean with grounds to explore would be wonderful on its own, but the art! It's like staying in a museum full of work by the resident artist (other guests got to meet him, tour his studio, etc.!). I was honored to spend time there. The staff were kind; Carlos who drove us to the airport was delightful; I only wish we had more time.

I have no complaints, but I will note that the en suite bathroom has no door

This hotel is located on top of a cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean. It is an old mansion that has been converted to a hotel/B&B and there are only 6 or 7 rooms. The view from the patio is absolutely stunning. The beds were super comfortable and the bathroom was large with a rain shower. It is also very close to a ton of good restaurants in Barranco. I would stay here any time instead of in Miraflores.

Fabulous location with room overlooking the Pacific Ocean. A great hotel for our two nights in Lima. Everything so comfortable and despite language barriers we were able to make ourselves understood.

Quiet & clean & cozy.

Traffic in area is very bad, several streets are shut down which causes for slow moving congested traffic in the area.

Spectacular art by one of Peru’s most artists in a spectacular, unique setting perched above the ocean, with fabulous staff to top it off. I could have stayed there forever! This is possibly the last old mansion left on the Lima waterfront ( high rises have gobbled the rest), and is in Barranca, the most beautiful, quiet and picturesque part of Lima. Five days there was not enough! Special thanks to Carlos and Lillian, Delfina’s children who now run the Bnb. And yes, I did leave with some of his art.
