The location and facilities were exactly what I needed

Beautiful decor, lots of attention to detail, comfortable beds, lovely staff.

Just a small thing, the breakfast area was a bit small and got crowded very quickly, had to queue a bit for the self service system.

Soooo quirky, the attention to detail is fabulous, loved the decor, so well thought through 😍

Love, love, love Ocean Mist. What a fabulous unique hotel. The staff were brilliant making a special effort to decorate the room after I had let them know we were celebrating a Birthday. The breakfast was ideal a great continental spread and our suite perfect. It is super easy to use the tram to get in and out of the centre and Leith is lovely to wander around with lots of independent stores. A magical long weekend.

We liked everything about the boat. Excellent breakfast, really good location.

It’s not a criticism but the bar is open to non residents so gets pretty busy. We came back 9pm after a meal out and couldn’t get in , all the seats were taken.

Location and character

The location and the style. Genuinely felt like a Agatha Christie death in the Nile setting. Was a genuine novel.

The air conditioning was a little low power. And the shower had some signs of miss repair. But over all was perfect for a weekend escape.

Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Ocean mist is a beautiful place to stay. The staff are all very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was good and good choices and was in a very pleasant area. We will definitely be back.

Breakfast a little basic and not enough dining space at peak times, outside space would be utilised in summer but chilly in March, breakfast staff professional and friendly.

Room was charming but on a slope, felt as we were at an angle in the bed, may be an optional illusion, plumbing required a little attention, basin tap back washers were broken and the toilet cistern took 20 minutes to fill, toilet was not flushing correctly.

It’s a beautiful hotel in a fantastic location. Everything is immaculately presented and incredibly comfortable. The staff were all friendly and attentive, making us feel very welcome throughout our stay. The cocktail bar was a highlight; a perfect place to spend the evening, with excellent drinks. We really enjoyed our time here, especially the many thoughtful touches throughout the hotel.

The room we were allocated was more than we expected in terms of the size, luxurious finishes and a fabulous shower room. All the crew were great. Ethan in the bar mixed excellent cocktails and looked after us well. The bar was just a great place to relax and chill out.

Until the last night there was nothing we didn't like. But the heating broke down on our final day and we spent an uncomfortably last cold night. The staff were apologetic the next morning and had contacted an engineer.

The ocean mist was very clean and well decorated, it is an unusual and quirky place to stay and it did not disappoint. There were lots of finishing touches and attention to detail.

Location was perfect, staff were really friendly, continental breakfast was good, drinks in the bar were served quickly and there was a really nice ambiance. Rooms felt special and were immaculately clean.

Staff were so friendly & informative. Room was spotless. Breakfast was lovely. Cocktails amazing! Only wish they served light meals we would of stayed there all evening.

No TV in room

Every surface and fixture showed serious thought and was beautiful to look at. The light reflecting off the water onto the ceiling in our room was delightful, calm and helped me drift off to sleep peacefully.

Breakfast was lovely, served by the ever attentive Toni and her team. It was a most enjoyable and relaxing stay and highly recommended.

Staff were great; very helpful and attentive. We were given a free room upgrade which was a nice surprise too. Great location with regular tram service, although not too far to walk into the city centre if the weather is nice.

There was a decent continental breakfast but no gluten free options readily available.

The attention to detail was outstanding. Staff service was exceptional & they all looked fantastic in uniform. Nothing was too much bother. The boat was immaculate & in keeping with tradition. Decore well thought out. Perfect relaxing stay

A unique experience aboard Ocean Mist. We could not fault anything. Comfortable, highly serviced cabin, delicious continental breakfast. All staff were welcoming, cheery and attentive. The bar was well stocked, delicious cocktails with snacks. Parking was close by which was chargable but very convenient.

This is a beautiful hotel, it is very clean and very comfortable.The staff are very helpful, attentive and friendly. It is a very enjoyable stay, the bar is comfortable and a lovely place to spend some time.

It would be nice if there were opportunities for a hot breakfast, but the continental style did the job!

Unique setting, really friendly staff who could not do enough for us. Old world vibe with lots of facilities nearby.

The only slight disappointment was the view from the portal window of a wall - but we knew we were staying on a boat and that the views were not likely to be spectacular.

The breakfast was lovely. We thought we were going to get a hot breakfast but the continental choices were lovely. Salmon, cheese, cereals, toast and pastries.

We would have liked to have had a meal on the boat.
