Hotel Motto, Vienna

Fabulous design aesthetic. Staff were cheerful and helpful.Room was a generous size with a small couch and two chairs, bar cart and plenty of hooks for coats, etc. And they did not skimp on amenities- including eye masks, and an envelope with a condom and lubricant. We loved this place. Located just steps from the metro, it was a quick three stops to st. Stephen’s in the city center. On-site bakery/cafe was excellent

The location was perfect- right next to the subway and the pedestrianized zone. We did not eat breakfast at the Motto.

Excellent customer service (drinks offered when we checked in :)) and beautiful and clean accommodations so I have no suggestions for improvement.

Location, comfort and most of al Alper was beyond extraordinary, he is the highlight of the hotel.

The hotel is gorgeous. We didn't want to leave! The staff were wonderful, so friendly and helpful. Love all the extras like late check out, cocktail kit and option of late cleaning service if you wanted a long morning.

Some of the towels were a bit raggedy and we would have liked a larger bath towel. But this is a very minor point.

I arrived in Vienna very early in the morning after a long overnight trip, around 5 AM, almost 10 hours before the official check-in time. I expected to wait or just leave my luggage, but instead I was warmly welcomed by Chris at the reception. He kindly managed to prepare a room for me much earlier, without any extra charge. This truly saved my day. I was able to rest, recover, and actually enjoy Vienna instead of being exhausted. But what made this stay even more special is the hotel itself. It’s absolutely beautiful, located in a perfect area, and has such a unique atmosphere. You can really feel that everything is done with taste and care. And most importantly - the people. It’s rare to find a place that is not only visually stunning, but also filled with such kind and attentive staff. I left feeling recharged and inspired. This is definitely one of the most memorable hotel experiences I’ve had. Thank you, Chris, and the whole team 🤍

Location was excellent. Shops, Train and Tram stops are on your doorstep. Decor was beautiful, with eveything finished to a high standard and the added touches throughout the room Beds are very comfortable.

Fantastic experience staying here. Staff were wonderfully kind and helpful, the front door is 10 steps from the metro, and the room was full of thoughtful details that made the stay comfortable and memorable. On a holiday that spanned 10 countries, this hotel was my favorite.

Central location.

The location was incredible - right in the heart of Mariahilferstraße - yet our room was exceptionally quiet. Despite being so central, we didn’t notice any of the hustle and bustle from the street. Truly exceptional. Unfortunately, it was snowing and very cold in Vienna during our stay, so we’re tempted to book Motto Hotel again in summer just to enjoy the beautiful rooftop terrace in warmer weather. The view is fantastic and, once again, makes you forget that you’re right in the middle of the city. We honestly didn’t expect our stay to be this relaxing :D

If I had to mention one small point of criticism, it would probably be that the restaurant upstairs seemed slightly understaffed during breakfast hours. Since it’s not exclusive to hotel guests and appeared to be a particularly busy morning for business meetings, we ended up waiting quite a while for our food. We also found ourselves unintentionally listening in on several rather heated (business) discussions, which maybe wasn’t the most relaxing start to the day. That said, I do want to emphasize that the staff working that morning were extremely friendly and did their best despite how busy it got.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The location is absolutely perfect - close to everything we needed, with easy access to attractions, restaurants, and public transport. It made exploring the area so convenient and enjoyable. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. Everything was well organized and made us feel at home. A special thank you to the staff - they were incredibly friendly, professional, and always open for communication. They were helpful with recommendations and made sure all our questions were answered promptly. Overall, a great experience. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

The decor in the hotel was very chic, extending to the rooms which are comfortable, clean and have everything you need for a city stay. Location is very good too, being right next to the entrance for the U3 subway. The main city sights of the Rathaus, Kunst museum, Hofburg palace with the Sissi museum and Spanish horses are all in relatively easy walking distance. The staff were friendly and very helpful. As vegetarians in a city of enthusiastic meat eaters, reception gave us two excellent recommendations for places to eat. All together a great two night stay. I would recommend and return.

The associated restaurant on the top floor is a great place for breakfast, but this is the only public space of any size.

The location and the hotel is amazing, but there is no room surface like other hotels that I knew so you will have to help yourself if you want towels or water or anything

There was absolutely nothing we didn’t like

I loved the location! Literally right beside the underground. We were steps away from shops and restaurants. The decor in the hotel and rooms is so so pretty. The bed was comfortable and the amenities were great to and a lovely touch. We did not get to use the relaxation area but we have a look at it and it looked really nice. The staff where so friendly and helpful and were able to ask any questions we had

The only negative I had was it took over 5minutes for my shower to heat up.. but apart from this I have no issues or complaints at all

Lovely decoration and very quiet rooms, everything has a feeling of luxury and warmth

I loved the decor and the quality of the finishes. The food and service were impeccable. The facilities (fitness area) were beautiful and relaxing as well. The location was great, though not central, public transportation was very close and easy to use. I loved the little touches in the room, like the toiletries and snacks.

The only thing I didn’t like was the lack of top sheets as I would get hot and sweaty at night and had no thin layer as an option. The wall along the sink under the mirror, did not seem clean.

Our shower pipes were a bit broken and it was notified to the staff but nothing was done.

Room, location, customer service were all excellent. There was also a sauna and wellness area, free apples :) and a personalised welcome for my birthday stay.

There wasn't a single thing I didn't like. The people were kind, the vibes were great, and the location was perfect. It was a bit of a long walk from the Belvedere and other museums, but nothing unmanageable.

The property location is perfectly situated near Mariahilferstrasse, had a close parking garage (hard to find in the city!), and is BEAUTIFULLY designed and decorated. The cherry on top is the gorgeous restaurant on the top floor with views overlooking the city. The staff were very attentive and friendly.

Really lovely hotel with beautiful decor and a great location. Everything felt stylish and comfortable. They even surprised me with a cake for my birthday, which was such a thoughtful touch. Would definitely recommend.
